10K-PI is an insulation diagnostic tester with a test voltage range of up to 10KV. It is designed and developed indigenously at our state-of-the-art R&D laboratory to conduct automatic insulation tests on high voltage equipment like transformers, cables, bushings, switchgear & rotating machines. 10K-PI is a technologically advanced microprocessor based instrument that provides high speed data sampling to give correct readings even in harsh electrical conditions. It has a wide insulation resistance range of up to 20T ohm.
Model 10K-PI is a mains and battery operated, portable & compact insulation tester for outdoor applications. The battery backup of 6 hours makes it suitable for field operations. IP54 rating keeps 10K-PI safe from water & dust ingress. It complies with CAT IV 600V for safe operation. The instruments and their accessories are certified as per the relevant IS/IEC standards.
The information displayed on the large LCD backlight includes insulation resistance, leakage current, capacitance, battery status & timer. It has three programmable timers provided to conduct various tests like Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Dielectric Discharge (DD), Step Voltage (SV), & Breakdown Voltage (BDV) test. 10K-PI can store up to 1000 test results*. It has a PC interface with USB & RS232 for data transfer. The PC software is used for report generation & data trends analysis. It helps to keep a record of capital equipment. The instrument has an automatic discharge facility for capacitive load discharging at the end of the test.

The Insulation Resistance test is an essential test that helps to verify the condition of electrical insulation. The insulation resistance quality of an electrical system degrades with time, and with environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, moisture, and dust particles. This instrument is designed for routine insulation resistance testing and diagnostic testing like PI, DD, DAR & SV of high voltage electrical apparatus Including transformers, generators, motors, cables, bushings, LA’s, switchgear, etc., and is temperature independent. The data trends can reveal vital information about the insulation quality and enable the user to make informed decisions.
