Digital Insulation tester (Model: IT-250G spot) is a microcontroller based battery operated insulation tester for measuring insulation in all types of electrical equipment. IT-250G has a digital and analog bar graph display designed for high voltage insulation resistance which is used for testing in the maintenance and servicing of cables, electric motors, transformers, switchgear, and industrial installations. DC insulation tests are performed at 250V, 500V, 1000V, 2500V, and 5000V. Insulation resistance measuring range is 1K Ohm to 250G Ohm. It’s auto power-off facility enhances battery life and the pleasant amber backlight allows the user to work in a dusky environment.
IT-250G is ideally suited for insulation resistance testing during erection, commissioning or installation at electrical substations, preventive operation, maintenance, and servicing of cables or transformers at industrial installations. Equipped with a robust ABS body, the device comes with a rugged strap that allows easy handling during transit and testing at outdoor sites. The guard terminal features minimal effects of surface leakages and gives an error-free measurement. Loaded with multiple propositions, IT250G becomes the ideal choice for routine insulation tests done by service providers. It also has a continuity range for continuity measurement. It automatically discharges and the decaying discharge voltage is displayed on the screen.
